1. Twitter offers live-stream shopping experiences
Twitter is the latest social media platform to delve into the world of live-stream shopping with a Walmart Cyber Week broadcast, hosted by Jason Derulo. Announced earlier this week, the feature builds on maximising ecommerce activity by delivering immediacy and engagement through shoppable events. Twitter’s live-shopping events will show shopping options below the video feed of the broadcast, along with a live tweet discussion and a Shop tab dedicated to mentioned products. (Via WeRSM)

2. Head of Instagram to testify before the Senate on teen mental health
On December 6th, Head of Instagram Adam Mosseri will testify before the Senate as part of a series of hearings about online safety for children and teens. His inclusion comes from a direct request from Sen. Richard Blumenthal. Mosseri responded to the news with a video discussing growing concerns for teen safety online, and the past actions Instagram has taken to protect its users including accounts private by default and restricted ad viewing. 3. Instagram testing 60-second Stories
Instagram has launched a live test of 60-second Stories, which is quadruple the length of the current 15-second segments. Last month, mobile developer and reverse engineer Alessandro Paluzzi uncovered the test in the app’s code, which is currently rolling out live to a small group of users, Instagram confirmed. 4. Lush goes anti-social
The beauty brand, synonymous with ethical practices, has vowed that it will not return to Facebook, Instagram, TikTok or Snapchat until bosses provide a safer platform for users. Lush will turn off all its platforms across the 48 countries in which it operates from 26 November, with no plans to return. This will include Lush’s brand, retail and people accounts worldwide, which will no longer exist on the four platforms. (Via Cosmetics Business)

5. Spider-Man has No Way Home in Hyundai's new ad
A new Hyundai commercial has been released as a tie-in for director Jon Watt's upcoming Spider-Man: No Way Home, featuring Tom Holland as Spider-Man/Peter Parker and Jacob Batalon as Ned Leeds. Hyundai is harnessing the massive popularity of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) to drive interest in the latest versions of the Ioniq and Tucson models. (Via MarketingDive)
